One of the many things Creswell Presbyterian Church is known for is the presence of a choir.  Choral music at our church has a long history and gratefully continues to flourish.

Front row: (left to right) Barbara Jenkins, Peg Bryant (deceased), Barbara Few, Wilma Kerr (deceased), Karen Heater, Elise Cullen, and Raedelle Heckman; Middle row: Rock Oakeson (deceased) – former accompanist, Jacque Robertson – choir director, Joan Kelley, June Harvey, Kathy Heater, Brenda Olsen, Linda Morrison (former choir member), and Ada Noble (former choir member); Back row: Nathanael Robertson, Rick Kelley, Steve Letsom, Jack Robertson (deceased), Ron Heater, and former Pastor, Rev. Seth Wheeler.

Choir members are there to support everyone in the congregation as they sing musical praises, pray and proclaim to God. The choir gives encouragement to  those together at church worshipping God with each other.

Their songs give everyone an opportunity to listen, meditate and respond worshipfully in their hearts creating special moments when people feel touched and near God.  Whether singing a weekly anthem or leading hymns – new or old – the choir brings the singing together in an exciting shared act of worship!

Music rounds out and heightens our worship experience.  This group of people who enjoy singing, get together to develop their skills and musical gifts in a Christian environment to bring beautiful music to life on Sundays.

Rehearsals are held September – June on Wednesday 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Sunday morning beginning at 9:15 a.m. before the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Besides the people who provide the voices, the choir has had, and now has, talented and dedicated directors and accompanists.

There is always room for more sopranos, altos, tenors and basses, so we invite you to join!  The choir is an open, welcoming and diverse group with a goal to add beauty during the worship service as it glorifies God.  You will feel better and  love being able to express your soul in song!
